The purpose of the Rosary Society is to praise and honor the Blessed Virgin Mary and to secure Her patronage by the recitation of the Rosary for the mutual spiritual benefit of all the members and the parish community. Nourishing the faith by meditation of the sacred mysteries, it gains new strength and lifts the mind to the contemplation of divinely revealed truths.
The Rosary Society is one of the oldest societies of the Catholic Church carrying on the great tradition of devotion to the Rosary. As one of the most popular societies in parochial life, members look to themselves as part of the great army of spiritual apostles under the banner of Mary, joining in a continuous prayer of praise and intercession to Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary. The Rosary Society of Ascension Church is affiliated with the Diocese of Brooklyn.
Members gather together on the first Sunday of the month at 10:00am Mass followed by a fellowship.
